Muehlacker: Sender Muehlacker Radio Mast, Enz Valley Vineyards, and the Enzkreis Industrial Town Between Pforzheim and Vaihingen
Muehlacker has roughly 26,400 inhabitants and lies on the Enz river in the Enzkreis of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The Sender Muehlacker, a 273-metre radio transmission tower built in 1933, was a landmark of German broadcasting and remains a protected monument. Vineyards line the south-facing Enz valley slopes. Pforzheim is about 15 kilometres west. Vaihingen an der Enz lies roughly 10 kilometres east. Bietigheim-Bissingen is to the northeast. The Enz here flows through a limestone valley separating the Kraichgau from the Strohgaeu. Stuttgart is around 35 kilometres southeast. The Muehlacker Schlossberg (castle hill) offers views along the valley.
