Niederrad is a district of Frankfurt am Main with around 27,000 residents. The Galopprennbahn (racecourse), one of Germany's premier horse racing venues, occupies a large site along the Main river. The Buerostadt Niederrad, an office cluster built from the 1960s, houses corporate tenants. The district sits between Sachsenhausen to the east and Schwanheim to the west.
Frankfurt's city centre is about 5 kilometres north across the Main. The airport is roughly 5 kilometres south. The Universitaetsklinikum (university hospital) is adjacent. The S-Bahn at Frankfurt-Niederrad provides connections to the Hauptbahnhof and airport. The Main riverside path passes through the district.
