Biesdorf is a locality in Berlin's Marzahn-Hellersdorf borough with around 29,000 residents. Schloss Biesdorf, a 19th-century manor house, was restored and reopened as a municipal gallery for contemporary art exhibitions. The surrounding park is one of the larger green spaces in eastern Berlin. The Wuhle river valley forms a walking and cycling corridor through the area.
Marzahn is to the north, Kaulsdorf to the south, and Hellersdorf to the east. The U5 underground line at Biesdorf-Sued and Elsterwerdaer Platz connects the area to central Berlin. Friedrichsfelde and the Tierpark zoo are to the west. Biesdorf has a mix of Plattenbau housing blocks and older single-family homes built before the GDR era.
