Iserlohn: Dechenhohle Cave, Sauerland Gateway, and the Maerkischer Kreis's Largest City
Iserlohn has a population around 98,000 and sits at the northern edge of the Sauerland hills in Nordrhein-Westfalen. The Dechenhohle (Dechen Cave), discovered by railway workers in 1868, contains dramatic stalactite and stalagmite formations and has been a visitor attraction ever since.
