The Aggertalhoehle, a limestone cave with stalactite formations, draws visitors to the Agger valley. An Iron Age Celtic settlement at Steinenbrueck has been excavated and partly reconstructed. Overath functions primarily as a commuter municipality for workers heading to Koeln.
