Leuben is a district of Dresden in Saxony with a population around 38,400. The area stretches along the left bank of the Elbe in Dresden's southeast, between the river and the hills of the Schoenfelder Hochland. The Elbe meadows (Elbwiesen) provide open green space and views across to the Loschwitz hills. Leuben combines older village cores with 1920s and 1930s housing and some GDR-era blocks.
